Anoxia Station (Demo)
A downloadable game for Windows
Anoxia Station is a dark strategy game set in a dystopian 1988, after a supervolcano eruption. Experience horror and survival in this free demo, containing a complete level with the main mechanics of the game.
Take life or death decisions on your crew members. And be aware there may be traitors among your team. Every injury or death reduces the size of your team permanently.
The forbidden depths of the Earth are a place of beauty, where pressure, heat, and titanic natural forces created wonders: caves made of quartz crystals, giant lakes of magma, vast salt caves and rivers of moonmilk, all depicted in a uniquely isometric style grounded in real physical processes.
The soundscape evokes the horror of working in this environment, a mix of the deafening roars of shifting rock, the harsh sounds of mining and welding, the distant clicking of something clearly inhuman, and a familiar scream.

So I attempted to play the demo, but every time it would refuse to start the story. I would select the character, name, and difficulty, but once It ask me if I am sure it just won't go forward.
Amazing game, but I can't progress in the demo: I've extracted and refined all the petroleum from the lens but it still claims 1/2 remaining?
Loving this, the atmosphere (brilliant and unique combination of art, visuals and sound) is fantastic - I've never been so terrified whilst playing a city builder. Only issue I'm having is that when I de-activate a building, on the next day it's still showing de-activated, but the resources it consumes/produces are still applied? Playing on Steam Deck, if that matters. Definitely not stopping me from playing though! Looking forward to the full release
Thank you! Probably a bug, we'll fix it.
Enjoying it so far, thing is when I press M I get what appears to be a heat map/lens/filter and I can't see where the POIs and resources on the map are. Like what I saw in Splatts vid. What am I missing?
Hi! You haven’t missed anything, it’s just that Splatt was playing version 0.7.4, and today we released version 0.7.5. In this update, we replaced the radar mechanics and visuals, fixed some bugs, add new animations and resolved an issue on laptops where the game was selecting the discrete GPU. Hope you'll like it!
Great art and an interesting premise... However, are creatures, maps, and events randomly generated? Or is everything preset?
I hope you add roguelike elements to spice up every run.
Hi! Thank you for the interest! Specifically in the demo, the core tiles are placed in their positions, and the base can spawn in different locations. In the main game, elements of randomness are mixed with presets for balance, but there’s a quick play mode and a hard mode where the randomness and generation are significantly higher.

Enjoyed the game very much. However, it seems like the game's response times to everything are delayed. Especially that is noticeable on the cursor movements and clicks on different UI elements. I'm very surprised, because this game seems entirely 2D? I'll try the percormance mode, maybe that will fix it.
Hi! Thank you for the feedback! 🌟 Did you happen to play on a laptop? I'm aware of the issue where the game might select the integrated GPU instead of the gaming one. I've already fixed it in new build, and version 0.7.5 will be available in the next few days!
looks great .... looking forward to playing it
Incredible setting. The artistic design makes you feel deeply immersed in the game. It seems like a very interesting game to me, unlike anything else I've played in the genre, bringing a breath of fresh air to it.
Incredible art and style, the sound design is great and enhances the atmosphere. Can't wait for the steam release!
Anoxia Station is a terrifying experience in many ways. I enjoyed the dark aesthetics, the unique setting, an alternative Cold War, and the sounds. You feel "alone" underground, knowing that anyone in your crew maybe a traitor... and, of course, there are those giant insects.
It’s a great demo! I really enjoy this kind of games. They have a very unique setting and gameplay style that is different from anything else. I’m looking forward to see the final game.
I really liked the demo, it kept me on edge until the end. The atmosphere is excellent, I can't wait to play more missions. Of course it has my wishlist on Steam!
